Ubisoft has revealed Rayman Legends Retold. The game will release on October 1st for PS5 / Xbox Series X/S / PC and Switch 2.
Revealed during today’s State of Play presentation, Rayman Legends Retold is a remake of the beloved 2013 platformer, featuring new content and “narrative twists.”
“Embark on a bold reimagining of the critically acclaimed platformer, enhanced with stunning 3D visuals and an immersive new story leading to a mysterious new realm,” a description for the game reads.
“Play the adventure solo or in up to four‑player couch co‑op, jam through all‑new musical stages, saddle up for epic dragon rides, and more!”
It was also revealed that the game would feature an “expanded soundtrack” by veteran Ubisoft composer Christophe Héral and Rare legend Grant Kirkhope. The remake will also include a fully-voiced cast of characters, which Ubisoft says will add a “new dimension”.
“Rayman Legends Retold is our way of revisiting what makes Rayman so special, and re-telling that experience for a new generation of players,” said brand producer Loïc Gounon. “We wanted to preserve everything fans love, and Legends gave us the perfect foundation to expand Rayman’s lore, its world logic, and how everything connects together.”
The game will launch with three different editions: The Standard Edition, Launch Edition and Deluxe Edition. Those who preorder any edition will receive the Hoodlum Havoc pack, containing two costumes for Rayman and Globox, inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
The Launch Edition is a physical-only release, which includes the game, a Glade of Dreams Printed Map, a set of three lithographs, and a slipcase.
The Deluxe Edition, which is digital-only, includes the game, access to the digital art gallery, plus the Retro Pack, which includes the Classic Rayman Outfit (Rayman), Betilla The Fairy Outfit (Barbara), Retro Hunter Outfit (Globlox) and Electoon Teensie Outfit (Grand Minimus).
All versions of the game will also include a copy of Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition. This remastered version of the 2011 game will feature 4K resolution, 60 FPS, new collectables and rewards, and modern enhancements, including haptic feedback for compatible controllers and new quality-of-life features.
