Lego Pokémon announced, coming 2026

Lego and The Pokémon Company have announced a multi-year partnership that will see Pokémon-themed sets released starting next year. This partnership brings together the world’s biggest toy company and the world’s biggest media franchise.

A brief teaser trailer was released alongside the announcement, showing various yellow Lego bricks combining to create Pikachu’s tail. Apart from a vague 2026 release window, no further information regarding the sets or a release date were given.

Until now, The Pokémon Company had partnered with Mega, who created brick-built figures of popular Pokémon such as Pikachu, Charizard and Eevee, as well as locations such as the Pokémon Center.

“We are thrilled to be working with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fanbase as Pokémon, partnering to give our joint audiences what they have been asking us for,” said Julia Goldin, Chief product & marketing officer of the Lego Group.

“We strongly believe that through the endless possibilities of LEGO play and the exciting adventures the world of Pokémon brings, this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.”

Gaku Susai, chief product and experience officer at The Pokémon Company International said: “The Lego Group and Pokémon have strong shared values of imagination, creativity and fun, making this the perfect partnership to deliver unique, meaningful and engaging ways for Trainers to experience the Pokémon brand.

“Working with the best-in-class team at the LEGO Group and seeing their dedication and passion for the project has culminated in an innovative and groundbreaking collaboration that will surprise and delight fans.

“We cannot wait to see both Lego fans and the Pokémon community’s reactions in 2026.”

Today’s announcement is the latest gaming collaboration that Lego has established, having already partnered with the likes of Nintendo and Sega to create sets based on popular IP such as Mario, Zelda and Sonic.
