Starfield, Bethesda Game Studios’ first new IP in over 20 years has finally been given a release date.

The much anticipated Sci-Fi RPG will be launching (no pun intended) on November 11th 2022, with the game also confirmed to be an Xbox console exclusive; as with all first-party Xbox titles, Starfield will also be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.

Officially revealed as part of Xbox and Bethesda’s E3 showcase, the latest teaser trailer gives us a brief look at some in-engine, alpha footage. We get a look at an astronaut preparing his ship for launch after leaving small colony planet. A group known as Constellation is shown, represented with a logo on equipment and the astronaut’s suit.

The plot appears to be centred around “the beginning of humanity’s final journey”. Perhaps this means the plot will focus on humanity’s efforts to colonise solar systems alongside the search for alien life.
