The next lineup of PlayStation Plus games have been revealed by Sony. Starting January 5th, subscribers will receive Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Greedfall and Maneater. These games will be free for subscribers starting January 5th, replacing Just Cause 4, Worms Rumble, Rocket Arena and Bugsnax.
It’s important to note that the latter of the three new titles, Maneater, is only available to subscribers on PS5 consoles. This is similar to when Sony added the PS5 version of Bugsnax to the monthly PS Plus freebies back in November as a bonus game.
In addition, it appears that those who’ve purchased the PS5 version of Maneater in the last couple of weeks are being refunded, as pointed out by BraeWhyit on Reddit after they received the following notice on their PS5:
“As a subscriber of PlayStation Plus, we will refund the purchase price of this product to your PlayStation store wallet as this is a PlayStation Plus monthly game. This will not affect your ability to play the game as we have not removed the game from your library.”
Currently, there’s no such refund being given to those who’ve purchased Shadow of the Tomb Raider or Greedfall – hopefully Sony isn’t providing special treatment for those who own their shiny new system.
