Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed and will now release on December 3rd.
The game was originally set to launch on October 1st; however, despite the game going gold, Ubisoft still wants a little more time to give the game “the care it deserves.”
“Rayman Legends Retold will release on December 3rd,” a statement reads. “While the game has officially gone gold, we have decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.”
Ubisoft has also confirmed that a new game overview trailer will be released on September 22nd, giving fans a fresh look at the game.
The same day, press and content creators will be sharing their hands-on impressions of the game.
Announced during Sony’s June State of Play presentation, Rayman Legends Retold is a remake of the beloved 2013 platformer, which features new content and an expanded soundtrack by veteran Ubisoft composer Christophe Héral and Rare legend Grant Kirkhope.
“Embark on a bold reimagining of the critically acclaimed platformer, enhanced with stunning 3D visuals and an immersive new story leading to a mysterious new realm,” a description for the game reads.
“Play the adventure solo or in up to four‑player couch co‑op, jam through all‑new musical stages, saddle up for epic dragon rides, and more!”
