Nintendo has confirmed that the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will release on November 5th.

The release date was revealed during The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, which also showed off a first look at gameplay, which looks to have included various quality-of-life improvements, as well as a massive visual upgrade.

The gameplay showed off fully recreated versions of Kokiri Forest, The Great Deku Tree, Hyrule Fields, and Hyrule Castle Town, which now features playable minigames within its many shops.

The remake will also include a new feature called the Threads of Time, which will act as a unique quest log that showcases your exploits in Hyrule.

Using the Switch 2’s built-in microphone, you’ll be able to play any Ocarina songs in-game simply by humming them, as long as Link has already learned them.

Originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is generally considered one of the greatest games of all time, topping Metacritic’s all-time charts with a score of 99, something no other game has matched.

In 2011, the game was remastered for 3DS, which added quality-of-life updates as well as support for the handheld’s touchscreen display.
