The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered announced, coming next month

CD Projekt Red has revealed a remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is set to release next month.

Announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live showcase, the remastered version of the beloved RPG will release on September 29th as a free upgrade for anyone who already owns the game on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The Witcher 3 Remastered will also release on Nintendo Switch 2 and BattleNet. Players who purchase the game on Blizzard’s launcher will receive a Geralt-inspired skin to use in Diablo 4.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered features the base game, plus the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions in addition to visual enhancements and quality-of-life improvements.

According to a press release from CD Projekt Red, players can expect upgraded visuals, enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new witcher signs effects, revamped mount handling, enhanced monster behaviours, a skill tree revamp, transmogrification, an expanded photo mode, new finishers, and “much more”.

CD Projekt Red is currently working on several projects set in The Witcher universe, including Songs of the Past, a new expansion for The Witcher 3. The next mainline entry in the series, The Witcher 4, is also in development, and was recently revealed to be targeting a 2028 release.
