Sony has announced that a Complete Edition of Ghost of Yōtei is coming this October, alongside a new story expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara, and a new combat survival mode, Most Wanted.

Releasing on October 1st, Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will be available for $70, and includes the base game plus all the new content, as well as the Ghost of Yōtei Legends multiplayer mode.

Anyone who preorders Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will get instant access to the base game and Legends, with Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted arriving in a patch on October 1st.

Those who already own Ghost of Yōtei will be able to upgrade their copy to the Complete Edition for $15.

“Ghost of Yōtei: Echoes of Sekigahara is our new narrative expansion,” a post on the PlayStation Blog reads. “Split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland, you’ll meet Nagato, a figure from Atsu’s past who has arrived in Ezo.

“In the present, you’ll explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang of loyal followers, the Vipers. In the past, you’ll experience Atsu’s time in the Battle of Sekigahara and a key moment in her life before she returned home for her quest for vengeance.

“You’ll meet new enemies and find new heavy weapons, new armor sets, new dyes, and more”

Meanwhile, Ghost of Yōtei: Most Wanted is developer Sucker Punch’s take on the roguelike genre, which it describes as a “single-player combat survival mode”.

Players will take on bounties at the start of each new run, earning various perks and unlocking new playable characters along the way.

“We’ll have much more to show soon, but as you can see in the trailer today, Atsu is a master with the dual katana, while Oyuki excels with the kusarigama, and Nagato shines with a yari.
