While Pokémon are fairly easy to obtain in Champions, players can also transfer their own Pokémon from other games via Pokémon Home. Unlike some games, Pokémon can also be freely transferred to and from Champions, albeit with one big caveat. Here’s some key information about transferring Pokémon from Home to Champions:
- Transferring Pokémon from Pokémon Home to Pokémon Champions (and vice versa) is free.
- You MUST have Pokémon Home version 4.0.0 or newer to transfer to Champions.
- Pokémon transferred from Pokémon Home to Pokémon Champions are classed as ‘visiting’ and can still be viewed in Pokémon Home.
- Transferring Pokémon DOES NOT free up box space in Pokémon Home.
- If visiting Pokémon know moves that can’t be used in Champions, those moves will need to be changed using the training feature.
- Any training that a visiting Pokémon undergoes will not be carried over to Pokémon Home. All training data is saved and will be reapplied if the Pokémon returns to Champions.
- Training data will be LOST if the returning Pokémon has changed forms.
- Pokémon recruited in Pokémon Champions CANNOT be transferred to Pokémon Home.
