The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 next month.

Announced during today’s Pokémon Presents presentation, the game will release as part of the GameCube game library, which is included in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.

Released in 2005, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness is an RPG spin-off set in the Orre region, where players battle, capture and purify shadow Pokémon.

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness joins the current library of eight GameCube titles, which includes The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, F-Zero GX and Luigi’s Mansion.

Pokémon Colosseum is also confirmed to come to Switch 2, but no new information regarding its release has been shared today, despite being revealed alongside Gale of Darkness last year.
