Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension release date announced

The Pokémon Company has announced that the Pokémon Legends: Z-A expansion, titled Mega Dimension, will release on December 10th.

The release date was revealed as part of a new trailer for the upcoming DLC, which showcased new mega evolutions and returning Pokémon, as well as an alternate universe version of Lumiose City, known as Hyperspace.

The DLC will have players investigating distortions across Lumiose City with the help of Ansha and her companion, the mythical mischief Pokémon Hoopa. Using ingredients gathered from Hyperspace, Ansha can bake a variety of doughnuts for Hoopa, which help awaken its realm-hopping powers.

New Mega Evolutions for Chimecho and Baxcalibur also featured in the trailer, with The Pokémon Company announcing that more Mega Evolutions will be revealed on November 19th. It was also revealed that, for the first time in a main series Pokémon game, the level cap will be increased, allowing Pokémon to exceed the traditional limit of 100.

It’s not yet clear what the level cap will be raised to, but keen-eyed fans have already spotted Pokémon with levels as high as 170.

In addition to the Mega Dimension announcements, a new side-mission featuring the mythical Pokémon Diancie has been made available to all players starting today. To access the mission, players must first acquire the Diancite Mega Stone via mystery gift, then head to Looker Bureau and interact with Mimi, Emma’s partner Pokémon.
