Netease Games has confirmed that season 4 of Marvel Rivals will begin next Friday, September 12th. A trailer for the upcoming season revealed that the next heroes to join the roster are Angela and Daredevil.

According to reports from notable leakers, Angela will be season 4’s launch hero, whilst Daredevil will release as part of the mid season update sometime in October. It’s expected that at least one of these heroes will be either a vanguard (tank) or strategist (support), with the game suffering from an over abundance of duelist (DPS) characters.

Netease has also announced that a PS4 version of the game will be arriving as part of season 4’s release next week. Given how demanding the game can be on modern hardware, it’ll be interesting to see how the game performs on Sony’s last-gen console.

Here’s the official synopsis for season 4:

“The Timestream Entanglement has drawn the Seven Capitals together, forming the Heart of Heaven. After Knull’s fall, Hela is imprisoned in the An’Hay-Zhidi, where Dizang—Devil of the Eighth City—dares her to atone for her sins. But Angela will not forgive her betrayal. She arrives in the Heart of Heaven demanding Hela be handed over, yet its guardian refuses to surrender someone under his protection. Justice will be served and a debt will be paid.

But while they fight, an even greater danger stirs. Doctor Doom seeks to steal the Chronal Chi of the slumbering dragon Shou-Lao, threatening to unravel the fate of the Heavens themselves.
