The latest expansion set for Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has been revealed, alongside a release date of December 17th. The new expansion, named Mythical Island, will feature over 80 new cards to collect, including five new EX cards and five new trainer cards.

“Experience wonder and whimsy with a new expansion’s worth of cards coming to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket,” the official description reads.

“Classic Mythical Pokémon Mew and Celebi are powerful Pokémon ex ready to add extra magic to your collection.

“The Mythical Island expansion features over 80 cards, including five new exciting Pokémon ex cards, five new Trainer cards, and gorgeous immersive cards ready to bring you into the wondrous world of Pokémon.”

Mythical Island booster packs will be available alongside the current set of Genetic Apex booster packs.

Since its release in October, Pokemon TCG Pocket has proven to be immensely popular, having reached more than 60 million players since launch. Reports have also claimed that the game has generated over $200 million in revenue, with an estimated $12 million having been made within the game’s first four days of release.
