Rockstar has released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, confirming a 2025 release window.
Following various leaks and reports, the trailer finally confirms a highly anticipated return to Vice City – Rockstar’s depicton of Miami. The trailer also introduces us to both of the game’s protagonists: Lucia and Jason. The former will be the first female protagonist in a Grand Theft Auto game since the series transitioned to 3D in 2001.
The trailer was meant to debut tomorrow, December 5th, as per an announcement from the developer last week. However, a user on X/Twitter leaked a low-quality version of the trailer, forcing a response from Rockstar.

Last September, hackers were able to obtain and leak over an hour of development footage, in what has become one of the highest profile leaks in video games.
