Lego and Nintendo have announced that Animal Crossing will be the next collaboration between the two companies, following the success of the Lego Super Mario playsets.
News of the long-rumoured collaboration was confirmed with a short clip posted on Twitter (seen below) and shows a few of the villagers from the game in minifigure form.
No release date, prices or playset details have been officially released at the time of writing. However, Lego insiders found references to five Animal Crossing sets earlier this year, with prices ranging from $15 to $75. Insiders also revealed that Lego expects to release the sets in March 2024.

Nintendo’s collaboration with Lego has already seen great success with the Super Mario Playsets, having released a Donkey Kong expansion set earlier this year. More advanced sets such as the Lego NES, Question Block and buildable Bowser have also been well received, with a buildable Pirhana Plant due to release in November.
Nintendo aren’t the only ones to have partnered with Lego on a game collaboration, as the company revealed a new range of Sonic the Hedgehog sets. The popular toy maker has also released sets based on Horizon Forbidden West, Pac-Man and even created a buildable Atari 2600.
