Industry award show The Game Awards has been confirmed to return in early December.
During this year’s Opening Night Live, The Game Awards host and producer Geoff Keighley announced that the show will be returning for its tenth year on December 7, 2023. The show will take place at the Peacock Theatre (formerly Microsoft Theatre) in Los Angeles.
Further details, including public ticket sales, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Last year’s Game Awards were dominated by Elden Ring (four awards) and God of War: Ragnarok (six awards), with the former taking home the award for Game of The Year.
In addition to presenting awards, the show has also become a key event for developers and publishers to make big announcements. Last year’s show featured announcements such as Hades 2, Death Stranding 2 and Bioshock creator Ken Levine’s next game, Judas. Release dates for Final Fantasy 16, Diablo 4 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor were also announced at last year’s show.
