Red Dead Redemption comes to Nintendo Switch and PS4 next week

Rockstar has announced that Red Dead Redemption will be coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch on August 17, with a physical release set for October 13. The game is priced at $50 and will include the critically acclaimed Undead Nightmare expansion.

“Experience the epic Western adventure Red Dead Redemption and its groundbreaking zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, as both games come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for the very first time in a single package.” A statement from Rockstar reads.

“In a new conversion by Double Eleven Studios, the Switch and PS4 versions bring the two classic experiences together again for both new players and original fans to enjoy across modern consoles, including backwards compatibility with the PlayStation 5.”

Last month, Red Dead Redemption was classified by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee, which led to many rumours regarding a re-release or remaster of the game.

Red Dead Redemption is already available on modern Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility, however, there seem to be no signs of a much sought-after PC port, which many believed would arrive alongside this latest release.
