A recently leaked screenshot of Rocksteady’s next game, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, appears to confirm the inclusion of a battle pass and in-game store.

The image, which has been since been verified by a VGC source, shows a pre-game lobby screen, with various tabs along the top of the screen, including ones titled “Battle Pass” and “Store”, along with what looks to be various currencies.

VGC’s Rocksteady source was quick to clear up any questions relating to both the battle pass tab, as well as the 6 different currencies displayed. It was confirmed that a battle pass is indeed confirmed to be in the game, but would be focused on cosmetics such as skins. As for the currencies, these are believed to act as XP or tokens used to upgrade characters.

“You don’t start off debuffed and weak,” the source explained, “You just start off great and can get ridiculous, like Arkham Knight’s Batman.”

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was revealed back in 2020 and was initially set to release in 2022 before getting pushed to its current release date of May 26th, 2023. The game takes place in an open-world Metropolis and follows Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark as they’re tasked with taking out brainwashed members of The Justice League.
