Pokémon Legends: Arceus trailer introduces Noble Pokémon

The Pokémon Company have today released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus, teasing plot details as well as other new features.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to the Wardens, who act as protectors for the mysteriously blessed Noble Pokémon found in the Hisui Region. One of these noble Pokémon is Kleavor, a Bug/Rock type Pokémon that evolves from a Scyther that has interacted with a special mineral. Part of the game’s story looks set to be focussed on these noble Pokémon, with the player being tasked to investigate a phenomenon that’s causing the creatures to enter a frenzy.

Elsewhere, we get a look at the player riding Wyrdeer, Basculegion and Hisuian Braviary to explore the region across land, sea and air. There’s even a neat callback to Diamond and Pearl when your trainer uses the summoning flute. You’ll also be able to visit Jubilife Village to acquire new outfits and indulge in some photo ops with your party Pokémon.

Thankfully, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has not been affected by any delays so far, pandemic-related or otherwise, and is still set to release on January 28th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch. In the meantime, Sinnoh remakes Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are due to release in November, following the game’s 15th anniversary in Japan this week.

Wait, Fifteen years!? Damn that makes me feel old…
