Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga hit with another delay

The latest instalment of the Lego Star Wars series has been delayed. The game was originally set to release last year before slipping to spring 2021; the game was originally set to release last year.

In a statement posted on Twitter, developer TT Games stated that the extra time will be used to ensure the game is “the biggest and best-ever LEGO game”.

Neither Warner Bros. or TT Games have provided a new release window for the game, but the developer has promised to provide an updated launch window “as soon as possible”. This announcement means that Warner Bros. have now delayed four games in as many months, with Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy being hit with delays into next year, and Back 4 Blood getting pushed to October.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was revealed at E3 2019 (remember E3?), and is a retelling of the entire nine film saga in all its blocky glory. The game looks set to be the most ambitious title TT Games has made, with open world locations across multiple planets, all built in a new engine.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
