Hogwarts Legacy delayed to 2022

Warner Bros. Games has announced that Hogwarts Legacy, the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff, has been delayed. The game will now be released in 2022.

In a statement posted to the Hogwarts Legacy Twitter page, the team wished to thank fans for the “tremendous reaction” to the game’s initial reveal. “Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs.”

“Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022.”

Hogwarts Legacy was first revealed at PlayStation’s second PS5 showcase back in September. While this was our first official look at Hogwarts Legacy, footage of an early version of the game leaked way back in 2018 with a rumoured name of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. The game will put players in the role of a Hogwarts student in the late 1800’s – around a century before Harry Potter’s arrival and even a few decades prior to Newt Scamander and Gellert Grindelwald.
