Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s file size will be 133-136GB on next-gen consoles, around 40GB large than their current-gen counterparts.

The news comes as Activision finally revealed the game’s install size across all platforms; it’s worth noting that these file sizes are at launch, there will likely be an increase once post-launch content begins to trickle in. Additionally, the game’s file size is identical on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

As for current-gen systems, the PS4 version will take up 95GB of space, while the Xbox One version clocks in at 93GB.

For those playing on PC, the full game will weigh in at 82GB, or 125GB with ultra graphics. However, much like Modern Warfare, players will be able to select what game modes they want installed to keep the file size down; the game’s multiplayer is 35GB – a reasonable size for those focused on the game’s competitive side.

Activision also provided details on preloading ahead of next week’s launch. For PS4 and Xbox One, preloads commence on November 5th at 9PM Pacific Time, in the UK that’s 5AM November 6th. On PC, Preloads begin on November 10th at 10AM Pacific Time and 6PM in the UK. For next-gen consoles, you’ll be able to preload once the consoles are available, November 10th for Xbox Series X/S and November 12th for PS5 in select countries.
