Xbox Game Pass subscriptions have risen by 50% in five months

Buried in the news that Microsoft have agreed to acquire Zenimax media for $7.5 billion, the company also revealed an astonishing statistic in relation to Xbox Game Pass.

As of this month, there are now 15 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers, an increase of 5 million members since April – unsurprisingly, it’s been a year for staying in and spending more time with your game libraries.

Xbox Game Pass has become a big part of the Xbox ecosystem since it launched in 2017 and has consistently provided more value since; the introduction of Game Pass Ultimate and xCloud game streaming has further solidified this idea among many.

Later this year, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will also get access to EA Play (formerly known as EA Access); with the acquisition of Zenimax and Bethesda studios, a plethora of AAA titles will be joining the service and continue to be arguably the best deal in gaming.
