A custom, God of War themed PS4 Pro has been revealed by Sony and is set to release alongside the release of the series’ latest instalment.

The design, which Sony is calling ‘Leviathan Grey’, resembles Kratos’ Leviathan axe which you’ll use in game. “The top front panel is the Axe skill tree you’ll use in-game to upgrade your axe, along with the runic gem slots on the handle that enable unique special abilities.” says Santa Monica Studios’ head Shannon Studstill.

Elsewhere, “The side panels are trimmed with a beautiful Norse design, and the runes on the front each represent a realm in the game. The Leviathan Grey DualShock 4 wireless controller has the Huldra Brothers brand on it (just like the Axe), and a very subtle God of War logo on the touchpad.“

As for what kind of improvements the PS4 Pro version of the game will receive, Sony states the game will run at 2160p on a 4K display. The game will also support HDR for those with a compatible TV or monitor.

The limited edition God of War PS4 Pro will release alongside the game on April 20th and while Sony didn’t mention a price, they did advise those interested to check your local retailers for availability.
