Players who were invited to play the Duskbloods network test were left disappointed after login issues forced From Software to cancel the first session earlier today.
The first session, which was scheduled to take place from 11 am to 3 pm BST, was plagued with login errors, which prevented players from accessing the game.
“Failed to log in to The Duskbloods game server. Select “OK” to attempt to log in again,” was an all too familiar message for the majority of players who were hoping to check out the Switch 2 exclusive.
From Software ultimately decided to end the test session early, which was confirmed in an apology posted on social media:
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who were waiting for the first The Duskbloods network test due to game server issues,” the post read.
“We regret to inform you that today’s session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce future schedules at a later date.”
Only five test sessions had been scheduled for The Duskbloods, so players will be hoping that the remaining four run much more smoothly.
It’s entirely possible that From Software could add extra test sessions, with the statement referencing “future schedules”; however, this may also just be referring to the remaining sessions, rather than a hint at extra ones being added.
