Nintendo has announced that the next Nintendo Direct presentation will take place tomorrow, June 9th, at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST.
The Direct will last “roughly 50 minutes” and feature games coming to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 this year. A Nintendo Treehouse livestream will then follow the Direct, which will run for around 95 minutes.
This is the first general Nintendo Direct since September, which featured games such as Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Pokémon Pokopia and Mario Tennis Fever.
There have been Nintendo Directs since then, but all of them have been dedicated Directs for certain games or partners, such as Pokémon Presents, Indie Worlds and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie Direct.
As for what we can expect to see, Nintendo still has four announced first-party titles set to release this year, those being Starfox (June 25th), Rhythm Heaven Groove (July 25th), Splatoon Raiders (July 23rd), and Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave (2026).
It’s possible we could get a new look at FromSoftware’s Switch exclusive game, The Duskbloods, with the game currently slated for release sometime in 2026.
Back in March, reliable insider NateTheHate revealed that Nintendo was working on both a new Star Fox game and a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, with the latter coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the series.
Nintendo has since confirmed that a new Starfox game is on the way, which suggests that the Ocarina of Time remake may be revealed soon.
