Xbox has officially confirmed details for its annual games showcase, with this year’s presentation set to be another double feature.
The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on Sunday, June 7th at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK, and will be immediately followed by a Gears of War: E-Day Direct presentation. Below is a list of global timings for this year’s showcase:

- EDT: June 7, 1pm
- BST: June 7, 6pm
- CEST: June 7, 7pm
- JST: June 8, 2am
- AEST: June 8, 3am
According to Xbox Wire, this year’s showcase promises “first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe – from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.”
“Immediately following Showcase, we’ll go even deeper on one of the games coming later this year, directly from the team behind the Gears franchise, The Coalition Studio. Gears of War: E-Day Direct will take players into the start of Emergence Day, offering new details, gameplay and insights about the hugely anticipated origin story to the Gears of War saga.”
Newly-appointed Xbox president Asha Sharma has also confirmed the return of Xbox FanFest, recognising the value that the event offers to the Xbox community.
“In my first month, I heard clearly that our community values Xbox FanFest,” Sharma said in a post on X.
“As part of the return of Xbox, we made the decision to bring it back to LA to recognize the players who’ve been with us over the years.”
“Looking forward to celebrating together!”
Aaron Greenberg, VP of Games Marketing at Microsoft, also shared his excitement for the upcoming showcase, remarking that this is a “special year”.
“It’s a special year, please join us for a special Xbox Games Showcase and Gears of War: E-Day Direct double feature on June 7th,” Greenburg wrote. “Xbox FanFest also returns. We cannot wait to show you what teams have been working on!”
With 2026 marking 25 years of Xbox, expectations for this year’s showcase will be high, and release dates for both Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved seem likely, with both games still expected to release this year. This year’s showcase could feature a first look at Marvel’s Blade from Arkane Lyon, having been announced at The Game Awards in 2023
Last year’s Xbox Games Showcase featured Persona 4 Revival, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and inXile’s Clockwork Revolution, as well as the reveal of Asus ROG Xbox Ally.
