The 2025 Game Awards have come to a close, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 receiving a record-breaking 9 awards, including best narrative, best game direction and game of the year. Expedition 33 was also the only game to receive more than one award, in what was an evening dominated by the French developer.

Of all the awards that Sandfall Interactive’s debut title was nominated for, it only failed to pick up two: Best Audio Design, which was won by Battlefield 6, and the Player’s Voice award, which was won by Wuthering Waves.
