The nominees for this year’s Game Awards have been revealed, with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leading the way in nominations.

Sandfall Interactive’s debut game has become the most nominated title in Game Awards history with 12 nominations, followed by Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (7), Ghost of Yōtei (7) and Hades 2 (6).

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Expedition 33 team expressed their thanks for the nominations:

“What a privilege to be nominated, not only for 2025 GAME OF THE YEAR, but also TWELVE??!! TOTAL NOMINATIONS

“There are so many deserving, precious games from this year, and to be nominated among them makes us SO SO very whee… THANK YOU!!”

Elsewhere, Sony Interactive Entertainment is this year’s most-nominated publisher with 19 nominations, followed by Kepler Interactive (13), Microsoft (10) and EA (10).

Voting for this year’s awards is now open, with the public vote contributing to 10% of the final results, while a voting jury of several publications makes up the remaining 90%.

The 2025 Game Awards will be streamed live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 11th at 4:30pm PST/7:30pm EST. For UK viewers, that’s Friday, December 12th at 12:30am. In addition to the award presentations, the event will also feature announcements for new and existing games, as well as performances from The Game Awards Orchestra.
