A PlayStation State of Play arrives this Thursday

Sony has announced that a PlayStation State of Play will take place on Thursday, May 30th.

Lating more than 30 minutes, the presentation will feature 14 PS5 and PS VR 2 games, with a look at upcoming PlayStation Studios titles releasing in 2024.

This week’s presentation will be the second State of Play that Sony has hosted this year, with January’s presentation featuring an appearance from Hideo Kojima. In addition to revealing a new trailer for Death Stranding 2, the world-renowned developer also announced Physint, a new action-espionage game currently in development.

Production on Physint will begin “in earnest” following the release of Death Stranding 2. Kojima believes the game will be “the culmination of my work.”

The timing of this latest State of Play also comes at a time of transition within Sony’s leadership. Starting on June 1st, joint CEOs Herman Hulst and Hideaki Nishino will take over from Jim Ryan, who announced his retirement in September 2023.
