March’s PlayStation Plus freebies appear to have been revealed early.
Twitter user Nibel (@Nibellion) posted the upcoming lineup of games after PlayStation Netherlands’ official Facebook page shared the news ahead of time, the post was then removed by PlayStation Netherlands moments later. This month, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive Final Fantasy 7 Remake (PS4), Maquette (PS5), Remnant from the Ashes (PS4) and Farpoint VR (PS4).
The obvious highlight in the latest set of monthly games is Square Enix’s superb remake of Final Fantasy 7. Even more interesting however, is that an enhanced, next-gen version of the game is coming to PS5 on June 10th, with owners of the PS4 version receiving a free upgrade – that is, unless you pick up the game through PlayStation Plus. As spotted in the PlayStation Plus promotional image and the game’s PSN Store page, the small print states that those who pick up the game for free won’t be able to upgrade to the PS5 version. It’s also unclear whether these players will even be able to upgrade by paying an fee, or if they’re stuck with the last-gen version.
All of March’s upcoming PlayStation Plus titles will be available to subscribers from Tuesday March 2nd.
